Wakana Suzuki is PhD student at the Graduate School of Human Science at Osaka University and Research Fellow of the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science. She holds a Masters and a Bachelor degree from Kyoto University. Her research is cross-disciplinary, incorporating Science and Technology Studies, Anthropology and Sociology. Her current research interests lies specifically in stem cell research in Japan. Suzuki also conducts fieldwork in a translational stem cell laboratory in Japan. her she plays close attention to knowledge production within the laboratory, development and expansion of the laboratory’s project and collaborations between the laboratory and nearby hospitals, from micro and mezzo perspective.
